Exhibition in 1980, this beer is brewed to an original
gravity of 1036° -1040° from a recipe which has evolved over
many years. It is a full, well-hopped bitter with a
reputation that exceeds the borders of its native and
adjoining counties.

It’s a delightful sunshine colour,
wonderfully thirst quenching and with a refreshing touch of
bitterness. On a summer’s day in Southwold (or anywhere else

A blonde beer suffused with the aromas of a grapefruit
grove. The massive citrus attack will burst on your palate
allowing all the flavours of the imported New World hops to
deliver their fruity bitterness.
We’ve done our research here and we expect Explorer to be

Young’s Waggledance |

Unusual
name, unusual beer. The Waggle Dance is a movement a bee
performs to alert the hive of a source of nectar.
Waggle
Dance is brewed with a touch of honey which gives it a taste
of summer no matter when you raise a glass. This is balanced
by a healthy does of hops to provide the bitterness that
gives a wonderfully delicate flavour.
The overall
result is beautifully balanced and sneakily seductive.
Pale ale
and crystal malt, Fuggle and Golding hops together with
South American honey create this delicious golden ale with a

Pride is a smooth and astonishingly complex beer, which has
a distinctive malty base complemented by a rich balance of
well developed hop flavours from the target, challenger and
northdown varieties in the brew.
Its flavour has been likened by Stephen Cox, beer writer and
former campaigns director at CAMRA, to 'the sensation of
angels dancing on the tongue...'! |

Summer
Lightning has a light aroma of hop and lemon and is very
lively in the glass, producing a large, bubbly head that
reduces to a tenacious frothy layer on the surface of the
beer.
This is a
beautiful summer session beer - light, refreshing and
extremely drinkable - although the strength suggests that
the 'session' tag should be treated with caution. |

A very
clean flaxen-coloured beer with wonderful thirst-quenching
properties. The subtle blend of aroma and bittering hops
give a crispness on the tongue which is delicately fruity,
giving way to some dryness. The inclusion of some flaked
maize in the grist subtly hints at crisp corn flavours. |

Hammerpot Meteor |

A chestnut
coloured session bitter with a combination of malts giving a
depth of character often absent in a beer of this strength.
Smooth in the mouth yet with a hop character derived from
fine English hops that gives a pleasant refreshing and
slightly dry finish.. Meteor has an ABV of 3.8%.
The name
Meteor is in tribute to the aircraft and the men who flew
them, based, at the now disused, Tangmere RAF station a few
miles from the Brewery. These aircraft were not only the
first Allied jet fighters but also set a number of world air
speed records in the air over Worthing and Littlehampton.

eccentricity of the Manitoban gives beers a blackcurrant and
lemon quality which is exciting when carefully handled.
Alternatively, Bramling Cross can provide a sweet creamy

Christmas beer, fruit beers. curry beer, as well as having
potential for winter and summer wheat beers. Very few
overtly Bramling Cross beers yet exist. |

Elgood’s Golden Newt |

Golden Newt
has a prominent hop character; a blend of Fuggles, Goldings
and Cascade has been used in the recipe to bring the
delicate hop flavours and aroma to the fore. The use of
Cascade gives a pleasing citrus aroma. Finest Pale Maris
Otter malt has been blended with Wheat malt and Rye Crystal
to provide a full flavoured beer. The lavish use of late hop
dominates the malt flavour. |
